2. About this directory

Plymouth Plumbing Directory is a local business directory intended to help users find and contact plumbers serving Plymouth. The directory provides information about independent businesses and may link to websites and contact details operated by those businesses.

3. Using the directory

You may use this directory for normal personal or business research, including browsing listings and contacting listed businesses. You must not misuse the site, attempt to interfere with its operation, scrape or reproduce substantial parts of the directory for unauthorised commercial use, or use information from the directory for unlawful purposes.

4. Business listings

Listing information may come from businesses themselves, public sources, publicly available websites, submissions, or information supplied during the claiming process. We aim to present useful and accurate information, but business details can change and we do not guarantee that every listing is complete, current or error-free.

Users should confirm important information directly with the business before engaging services, including qualifications, licences, insurance, prices, availability, service areas and suitability for a particular job.

5. Featured and promoted listings

Some businesses may receive featured, premium or otherwise enhanced placement. Enhanced placement may be provided commercially or for promotional purposes. When a business claim is approved, the listing currently receives at least 30 days of featured placement. A featured position does not amount to an endorsement, guarantee or recommendation of that business.

6. Contact and transactions with businesses

Plymouth Plumbing Directory is a directory service and is not normally a party to any quotation, booking, contract, payment or other arrangement between a user and a listed business. Any agreement you make with a business is between you and that business, and you should satisfy yourself that the provider is suitable before proceeding.

7. Claiming a listing

A person requesting control of a listing must be authorised to represent the relevant business and must provide accurate information. Claim requests may be reviewed before approval. We may reject, suspend or reverse a claim where ownership or authority cannot be reasonably verified, where misleading information has been supplied, or where necessary to protect the integrity of the directory.

Where an approved claimant is given access to a business-owner account, that account is for authorised use only. The account holder is responsible for protecting their login details and for ensuring that listing changes they submit are accurate, lawful and relevant to the business. Proposed changes may be reviewed, edited, rejected or removed where necessary to protect the accuracy and integrity of the directory.

8. Corrections and removal requests

If information in a listing is inaccurate, out of date or should not be displayed, the relevant business or affected person may ask the directory operator to review it. We may request reasonable evidence before making material changes to a listing or its ownership status.

9. External websites

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices or services. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

10. Intellectual property

The directory design, original text, branding and other original material are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Business names, logos, photographs and other material relating to listed businesses may belong to the relevant business or another rights holder. No ownership of third-party material is claimed merely because it appears in a listing.

11. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the directory available and useful, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on inaccurate or outdated listing information, the actions or omissions of a listed business, or the content of an external website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, or affects rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the directory, its services or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.

13. Applicable law

These terms are intended for a UK-operated directory. Any dispute will be subject to the law and courts applicable to the directory operator, without affecting any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer or other law.
