Business Owner & Claim Listing Terms
These terms apply to people who claim, manage, update or enhance a business listing on Plymouth Trade Finder.
Authority to act
By claiming or managing a listing, you confirm that you are:
- the business owner; or
- authorised to act on behalf of the business.
You must not claim or alter a listing belonging to another business without authority.
Information you provide
You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted to Plymouth Trade Finder is:
- accurate;
- reasonably current;
- not misleading;
- relevant to the business;
- lawful;
- appropriate for publication.
Changes to business information
You should update your listing when important information changes.
This may include:
- contact information;
- website address;
- services;
- business description;
- opening information;
- service areas.
Images, logos and other content
Where you upload a business logo, photograph, description or other material, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to use it.
You give Plymouth Trade Finder permission to display that material as part of the business listing and in reasonable promotion of the directory or listing.
Moderation
Listing submissions and changes may be reviewed before publication.
Plymouth Trade Finder may:
- correct formatting;
- correct obvious errors;
- remove inappropriate material;
- reject misleading information;
- reject material unrelated to the business;
- request clarification.
Featured placement
Claiming a listing may make additional directory features available.
Where a business receives free or paid featured placement, this provides additional visibility but does not constitute endorsement or verification by Plymouth Trade Finder.
Any specific paid service should also be subject to the price, duration, renewal and cancellation information provided when that service is purchased.
Free promotions and trials
Where Plymouth Trade Finder offers a free featured period, promotional enhancement or trial, the duration and benefits will be those stated when the offer is made.
A free promotional period does not guarantee future free placement.
Account security
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of login credentials associated with your account.
Please contact us if you believe your account or listing has been accessed without permission.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove access to a listing where we reasonably believe:
- the claimant is not authorised;
- false or misleading information has been supplied;
- the service has been abused;
- these terms have been materially breached;
- continued access could harm the website, another user or a third party.
Ending your account
You may contact us if you wish to close an account or have your claimed listing reviewed.
Removal of an account does not necessarily mean that all publicly available business-directory information must also be removed.
Privacy
Personal information submitted through the claim process is handled in accordance with the Plymouth Trade Finder Privacy Policy.
